As New York filmmaker Ronald Riqueros was busy promoting the second episode of his new male physique and poetry film series Boys Of Life, ishTalk got an exclusive Q+A with the visionary director to find out more about his current project and what inspires him.
"I’m in a great position and I love where I am right now but I don’t think I’m as far as I want to be but that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate what I have - it means that I’ve got further to go. I even think that when I achieve what I want to achieve, in my head it’s still not going to be enough."
"If people didn't like me or did like me on Drag Race, I found it really frustrating because I didn't feel that that was in any way representative of who I was... or only part of it was representative of who I was... and there was this other part that didn't really didn't feel at all true to who I was. So now to release this new music... it's a true expression of who I am."
"I love doing drag because it really allows me to have my hands in all sorts of media. I get to make music, and make videos, and write, and act, and sing, and perform, and do a radio show, and all of these things. I'm glad I get to be a Renaissance (wo)man and do all these things."
