The 'Perfect Illusion' Star Is Re-Born

Lady Gaga has had a big week so far! Not only has she begun shooting her scenes for Season 6 of American Horror Story in Los Angeles, but she's also been seen in and out of recording studios in New York City, presumably finishing up her new pop album (currently untitled, over anticipated, mysterious, and still referred to by fans as LG5). The week intensified as the announcement came on Tuesday that she was confirmed to star female lead in the Warner Bros. remake of the film "A Star Is Born" - in a role previously made famous by both Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand, Gaga is following in the footsteps of these iconic ingenues and singer/actresses. The film will also star AND be directed by Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper! Production is rumoured to begin early 2017. It has been confirmed that Gaga will also be composing and performing ORIGINAL songs exclusively for the film!!!!

Although overjoyed with the news, Little Monsters around the globe still felt somewhat unfulfilled with no new news about the upcoming album or even acknowledgement of it's progress. But then...Wednesday morning that ALL changed with the announcement of a new single "Perfect Illusion". The fangirling and "OMG YAAASSSS GAGA SLAAAY MAMA" meltdowns began to commence on social media and other pop stars started to re-glue their weaves in for security and fear of Gaga coming to snatch them and change the game once again. The single is coming out in SEPTEMBER (but no exact date was given) - which in some ways I applaud Gaga for, because IF she gave an exact date there is always room for leakage (remember Applause and the POP MUSIC EMERGENCY of 2013 anyone?) BUT... her fans are already staaaarving and would go even more crazy if it came out September 31st...(just remember there's only THIRTY days in your release window Gaga...LOL).

The single is produced by Mark Ronson, Tame Impala, and BloodPop - which will be a new sound and direction for her - uncharted territory which makes it all more exciting. iHeartRadio execs got to hear the single and there was tweets after about how they "instantly loved it and were humming it all day after first listen" and how it was about "dancing through the pain and the highs and lows of a relationship gone wrong" and that it was their "favourite lead single from Gaga so far" and it's "better than but still so different from Bad Romance and Born This Way and can't really be compared with them but it still fits right in at home amongst them as a Gaga dance anthem" . It's also a "major bop and no one is ready"

Well if that isn't everything the fans have wanted to hear ALL YEAR LONG!

We can't wait for September and all the great things Mother Monster has planned for 2017!

A STAR IS RE-BORN!!!!!!
