Everyone is busy basking in the beauty of the clothing seen during the recent instalment of fashion month. You can’t turn a corner of the internet without finding a trend report or style piece about the designs showcased recently. While being overwhelmed by Couture, this season I’ve also been watching out for something different. The guys who wore the clothes we are all talking about. This season has seen some catwalk newbies take centre stage while some runway stalwarts made surprise appearances.
For the trend, report head over to style.com. For the man report, look no further.
One: Serge Rigvava
Top of the list has got to be Serge Rigvava, making a grand total of 25 SS16 catwalk appearances. Represented by seven different international modelling agencies it’s no surprise he’s been busy.
Two: Piero Mendez
Piero Mendez, the half Croatian, half Spanish catwalk king held his own. The model walked 22 SS16 shows including Prada and Raf Simmons. Oh and he’s currently the face of Balenciaga!
Three: Lucky Blue Smith
Lucky Blue Smith may be the youngest on the list (he’s only just 17!!!) but already he’s got a huge fan base, fit for any reality star. He walked eight SS16 shows, and Saint Laurent have placed him on hold every season since he was 14. Needless to say, we will be seeing lots more of Lucky.
Four: Sol Goss
Sol Goss is another young superstar. SS16 was his first season and the 19-year-old appeared in 11 shows. Goss even had the prestigious task of opening the Luis Vuitton show, not bad at all for a newbie!
Five: Scott Barnhill
The final man to make the list is an older face, Scott Barnhill, who made a little comeback this season. The veteran model was selected to open the Versace SS16 show. Barnhill was big during the 90s and early 2000s and was the face of the Versace Jeans Couture campaign alongside then-girlfriend, Gisele Bündchen.
