Inside Amy Schumer's Takeover

There is no doubt that 2015 is the Year of Amy Schumer.  Schumer, having just been named one of Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People”, has an action-packed year ripe with award shows and premieres, both television and cinematic.

The beautifully foul-mouthed comedienne just hosted the MTV Movie Awards on April 12th, and the third season of her Emmy nominated series, “Inside Amy Schumer”, premieres Tuesday night at 10:30 pm ET on Comedy Central.

Schumer collaborated with Amber Rose and Method Man on a promo for the new season.  The three filmed a music video for the rap song “Milk Milk Lemonade”, a parody of the big booty jams of old. The ridiculously funny rap features lyrics once popular on the playground, “Milk, milk, lemonade/’round the corner fudge is made.” Check out the hilarious music video below, and fans of the series can catch up on the first two seasons of “Inside Amy Schumer” on Hulu Plus before the third season premieres on April 21st.

Schumer’s fame train doesn’t stop there. This summer Amy will be starring in the highly anticipated comedy, “Trainwreck”, written by Schumer and directed by Judd Apatow. Alongside Schumer the film will feature Bill Hader, Tilda Swinton, Lebron James, and other familiar faces.  In the film, Schumer plays a career woman that prefers her uninhibited single life over the boring romantically committed lives of her friends, but she is soon forced to reconsider when she begins to fall for the subject of an article she is writing. “Trainwreck” is due in theaters this summer on July 17th, and you can check out the trailer below.

I personally cannot wait to see Schumer in “Trainwreck” and look forward to her outrageously intelligent and provocative sketches on the upcoming season of “Inside Amy Schumer”.  I will leave you all with a poem the ethereal being, Tilda Swinton, wrote for Schumer in Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People”:

 Amy’s got your back.

She’s in your corner.

She’s an honesty bomb.

And she’s coming for you.

With the MTV Movie Awards behind her, and the upcoming releases of her television series and movie, there is no debate that Amy Schumer is on top of 2015. Watch out world because Amy Schumer is coming for you, too.
